Friesians; Natives of once Friesland

Have you ever seen this horse before? It's a Friesian! This is one of my favorite breeds of horses. The Friesians are known for many things; jet black hair (mane, forelock, and tail. A forelock is the hair that extends from the mane; coming in between the ears.), feathers draping down from the ergot (joint muscle above the hoof) down to the hoof, and curly mane, tail, and forelock. This breed is very unique with all the looks, but you probably didn't know that Friesians also a draft horse. A draft horse is a horse that has enough strength to pull something heavy or do something an average human can't do. This horse is so amazing! I hope you come to check out my next post!
