The Famous and Fantastic, Thoroughbred!

These beautiful horses are called Thoroughbreds! There is a reason why Thoroughbreds are named Thoroughbreds. Thorough means carefully and most detailed, and bred is where a horse owner matches up a Mare* and a Gelding*; hopes for them to fall in love. The goal is to have a perfectly healthy, ideal foal* born off of those adult horses. So, thorough and bred put together means carefully bred.

As you notice in all three pictures, it looks like a Thoroughbred is a good horse for racing. True fact! Their long body, good joints, lean head, and graceful neck make Thoroughbreds a perfect racehorse!

?Fun Fact?:

Thoroughbreds are one of

the greatest racehorses in

the world!

Thank you for reading this week, and I hope you check out the next post to explore the wonders of the horse world!
