When you look at someone riding a horse, you probably think it looks easy! Well, at least I did before I started to ride! It's not the riding patterns and courses you have to complete that's hard. You'd master that easily with practice! It's connecting with the horse that's challenging. If you have favorites, it's especially challenging. I always hope to ride Cheyenne, my favorite horse, as you know. If I don't ride her, I do have to admit that I'm a little disappointed. My disappointment makes it hard to enjoy the ride to it's fullest, which makes it hard to connect the horse. Connection with the horse, you may wonder. Connection with the horse you're riding is letting the horse trust you, and being able to trust the horse. Connection with a horse lets you ride without stress, and makes any course a lot easier.
In summary, connection is the key to riding with ease. Come and check out my next post!
Saturday at 9:00, form what I know.
What day n time are you lessons ??
Aunt Krissy-I would love for you to come and watch me ride!
Love reading your stories Avery. Hoping one day I can come and watch you ride.....Love Aunt Krissy
Aunt Jane-Great advice! I love riding Cheyenne, but I know it will make me a better rider to learn different skills on different horses. The ability for the rider to adjust to the horse in the way needed is very important. Love you,
Avery :-)
